“It’s a big achievement for the University, Stony Brook Medicine, and the Long Island State Veteran’s Home to turn recruitment into a paperless process. All three Human Resource areas partnered with DOIT to collaborate in unifying a recruitment process and identifying best practices. The new Talent Management System helps us conduct effective searches and it will also improve and increase the diversity of our applicant pools by providing metrics that will measure our progress in recruiting and retaining from a diverse and talented pool. The system interfaces with People Soft, so every employee has a profile in the system and current employees now have their own portal to apply for internal only positions. TMS has also improved the candidate experience vastly, now they can create a candidate profile, see which positions they applied for and the current status of the requisition.”
